It's been a long time...

Sounds like the title of a song to ME! So of course those of you who know me well can just imagine that I had to immediately Google it. I was thinking Doobie Brothers, but it's Bruce Springsteen, Rakim (???), Harry James, Bing Crosby, Donovan, Mykill Miers, Louis Armstrong, well you get the idea.

It's been a heck of a ride around these parts for the better part of this year. It's slowly but surely starting to smooth out a bit, but there is a long way to go and just proof that Whoopi had it right when she said that normal is nothin' but a setting on the washing machine. After all, you can only ride along on the cloud total insanity for so long. And yet, I constantly expect my life to somehow be normal.

The fall retreat is coming up. There are going to be some wonderful changes that I hope will create a more intimate and shared retreat experience for everyone attending. It is always my goal to give a great space for whatever creativity pops up, and I'm very excited about this retreat in particular. For our regular retreaters, this is what many of you have been asking for. For new retreaters, this is just another step in making our retreats the best retreat experience a creative person could ever ask for.

We will again be in Ukiah, the dates are Thursday October 15 at 10 am through Sunday, October 18 at 5pm. We do have room for a few more people, but I need to hear from you right away if you are interested. Ukiah is about an hour north of Rohnert Park, the hotel is super comfortable, the scrap room is well lit and accessible to our participants around the clock. Set your stuff up and you don't have to worry about it again until you pack to leave on Sunday afternoon. In addition to the retreat, we are planning a pre-retreat event at Helene's Scrapbooks in Santa Rosa with very special discounts and special purchases just for our retreat clients. We are also offering, for the first time: a free class at Helene's to help you get organized, use the supplies you already own, and to be able to make your scrapbooking dollars go much much further for the new stuff you DO buy. This class is FREE for anyone completing their registration (with payment) by September 1. And we will also be offering a special trip to Scrapbook Territory in Berkeley for another great shopping trip and exclusive make and take project. All this is of course included in the cost of the retreat.

If this sounds good to YOU, get in touch with me at TamaraLipori@gmail.com or by phone at 707.328.0031 for rates and room availability. See ya there!
